Men’s Premier Division — Saturday 27 September 2025, 6:00pm — Nottingham Hockey Centre — Live on Bee TV (BeeTV.live)

Report

Beeston flew out of the blocks in their first home game of the season, netting twice inside two minutes to surge 2–0 ahead. East Grinstead answered swiftly and, after a breathless first half that finished level at 3–3, the visitors were ruthless after the restart to take the points.

  • Dream start (10’, 11’): Gareth Griffiths swept home before Christopher Curry added a second moments later to electrify the home crowd.
  • EG response (13’, 19’): Farmer and Knight dragged the visitors level, only for Oliver Manson to restore the Bees’ lead at 21’.
  • All square at the break (29’): Dan Faulkner’s finish made it 3–3 at half‑time.
  • Third‑quarter swing (31’, 37’): A Jonty Elmes brace put EG in control, and Elmes completed his hat‑trick late on (68’) to close out the game.

Despite the scoreline, there were clear positives for Beeston: a fast, front‑foot start; three well‑constructed goals; and sustained chance creation in open play.
